Amazon DSP & Amazon Marketing Cloud

Amazon DSP and AMC management.

Amazon DSP campaigns planned with Amazon Marketing Cloud data, so you know whether display is finding new customers or just re-buying the ones you already had. Run by an ex-Amazon account manager, on a flat monthly fee.

The question most DSP reports don't answer

Amazon DSP can look excellent in its own reports. The problem is that a large share of those sales often come from shoppers who were going to buy anyway: people who already searched your brand, already had your product in their cart, or already bought from you. That is retargeting your own customers, not growth.

Amazon Marketing Cloud lets you check that. It joins your DSP and Sponsored Ads exposure with purchase data, so you can see paths to purchase, overlap between channels and how many buyers were genuinely new to your brand.

What I do

  • DSP strategy. Separate prospecting, consideration and retargeting, each with its own budget and goal, so one doesn't hide the other.
  • Audiences. Amazon audiences for reach, plus custom AMC audiences built from your own data: for example, shoppers who viewed but didn't buy, or customers due for a repeat purchase.
  • AMC analysis. Path-to-purchase, new-to-brand and overlap queries that show what DSP is actually adding on top of Sponsored Ads.
  • Frequency and supply. Frequency caps and inventory choices reviewed regularly, so budget isn't spent showing the same ad to the same people.
  • One plan with Sponsored Ads. DSP and Sponsored Ads planned together, not as two separate budgets competing for the same shoppers.
  • Reporting. Weekly notes on what changed and why, with new-to-brand and incremental results, not just DSP ROAS.

Experience

  • Ex-Amazon account manager, then five years managing Amazon advertising for brands, both sellers and vendors.
  • Budgets from $3–4K to over $1M a month in peak season.
  • From simple display targeting to complex AMC audiences.
  • Amazon Ads certified in Sponsored Ads, Programmatic (DSP) and Amazon Marketing Cloud.

Is DSP right for you yet?

Not always. If your Sponsored Ads structure is leaking money, DSP will usually make that worse, not better. The audit tells you which to fix first. DSP makes most sense once your listings convert well and you have room to grow beyond shoppers who already search for your brand.
